Comfort for sensors
Textile sensors can be stretchable, washable, unobtrusive and more comfortable. On top of these solid facts, the products can be designed by using natural textile properties like patterns, structures, and hundreds of textile materials. Clothing+ has experience of several applications like heart rate monitors, ECG-, GSR-, EMG- and EEG-sensors, thermometers, stretch and bend sensors, and bio-impedance sensors.
Clothing+ is also a partner in the EU funded textile sensor research projects ConText and HeartCycle.
Clothing+ has the know-how to meet the requirements of the body sensing applications with textiles. This is achieved through strong expertise in several lamination technologies, ultrasonic welding, laser cutting, conductive/isolating fibres, coatings and films, and testing. Clothing+ has a global network of research institutes, testing laboratories, textile manufacturers, and material suppliers.
Typical steps in co-operation with the customer:
1-2 days for consulting; brainstorming, concept building, feasibility studies
2-3 months for pilot project; simple textile prototypes of technical and design details
6-9 months for product development; implementing textile features to actual product
After the product development, the customer has an option for manufacturing the products on our production line in China.
